My poor neglected Blog!
I'd almost forgotten I even had a blog, December passed in a whirlwind of madness and my brain is just adjusting back into work mode after the Christmas/New Year excesses :-) I'm back in the studio though now and loving it, despite it being sooooo cold I can hardly type. New heaters arriving soon and I'd better get a dehumidifier too, the gumpaste flowers do not like the atmosphere in here :-(
It's time to get cracking on the rest of my display cakes and I'm full of design ideas. I got lots of cake design books for Christmas and now I've got so many ideas I don't know where to start. I also need to finish the display cakes for the Ruby Bloom collection. The picture above is the first in the collection. Then at the end of January I'm taking part in a wedding fair at the Crown Hotel in Harrogate. It's organised in aid of Benevolent Brides (http://www.benevolentbrides.co.uk/) with the proceeds going to charity. So it's a busy start to the year.
